Syntax

Public Function PositionSelect(ticketNumber As Long) As Boolean

This function is used to choose an open position for a given ticket number on a trade list.

Parameters

Key Description 
ticketNumber Position number to be selected, a value  of type Long.

Return value

Returns true if successful, otherwise returns false. In order to get an error, call GetLastError() function.

Note:

After choosing the open position by ticket number , you can inquire about the property of position by using  PositionGetDouble(), GetPositionType(), GetPositionTime() ,GetPositionSymbol() and GetPositionString().

 Public Sub main ()

  Dim Ticket
  Ticket = PositonGetTicket (1)
  AlertMessage PositionSelect (Clng (Ticket))‘Returns True if position selected successfully

  End sub
